Lennox
Comfort Shop is an authorized Lennox dealer serving homeowners across Bowmanville and the Durham Region. We sell, install, and service the full Lennox residential lineup, including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.
Lennox has been manufacturing heating and cooling equipment for over a century, and they are known for building some of the quietest, most efficient systems on the market. But a product is only as good as the dealer behind it. As an authorized dealer, we are trained and certified by Lennox to install their equipment to factory specifications, process warranty claims directly, and provide ongoing service that keeps your system running the way it was designed to.
We organize our Lennox product lineup into three tiers: Good, Better, and Best. Each tier represents a different balance of features, efficiency, and price. The sections below break down every model we carry so you can understand the differences before you call.
As an authorized Lennox dealer, we provide gas furnace installation, gas furnace repair, central air conditioner installation, and air conditioning repair using Lennox equipment across Bowmanville, Courtice, Newcastle, Oshawa, Whitby, Port Perry, Lindsay, Bethany, Cavan, and Peterborough. We also offer furnace maintenance and air conditioner maintenance programs to keep your Lennox system running at peak efficiency.
We carry two brands of high-efficiency furnaces. Lennox is our premium line, and every model we offer meets or exceeds 96% AFUE, meaning at least 96 cents of every dollar you spend on gas goes directly toward heating your home. For a broader view of all the heating systems we install and service, including non-Lennox options, visit our HVAC services page.
The ML296 is a dependable single-stage gas furnace built for homeowners who want reliable, efficient heating without unnecessary complexity.
The ML296 is the right choice if you need a quality furnace at a reasonable price and your priorities are reliability and fuel efficiency over advanced features. It does the job well and does it quietly.

The EL296V steps up to two-stage heating and a variable speed blower motor, which means more consistent temperatures throughout your home and lower operating noise.
The EL296V is the sweet spot for most homes. The two-stage operation means the furnace runs at a lower output most of the time (which is quieter and more efficient) and ramps up to full capacity only when the temperature outside demands it.

The SLP99V is the top of the Lennox furnace lineup and one of the most efficient gas furnaces available in Canada.
The SLP99V modulates its output continuously rather than cycling on and off. That means more even temperatures, lower noise, and the highest fuel efficiency Lennox offers. If comfort, quiet operation, and long-term energy savings are your top priorities, this is the furnace to look at.

We carry the full Lennox residential air conditioning lineup, from budget-friendly to premium. We also install Lennox systems alongside Mitsubishi Electric and Friedrich units for homeowners who need ductless or through-the-wall solutions. The Lennox AC tiers below cover ducted central air conditioning.
The 14ACX is a solid choice for homeowners replacing an aging air conditioner who want dependable cooling without a premium price tag.

The EL16 is a step up in refinement. It operates noticeably quieter than the 14ACX, which matters if the outdoor unit sits near a bedroom window, a patio, or close to a neighbour's property. Homeowners in Whitby and Bowmanville subdivisions where lots are tight often prioritize sound level, and this unit delivers.

The SL18XC1 is the premium choice. At 65 dB, it is quieter than a normal conversation. Combined with iComfort integration, you get precise scheduling, remote access from your phone, and energy usage monitoring. If you want the best cooling performance Lennox offers with the least noise, this is it.

Lennox manufactures air-source heat pumps that pair with their furnace lineup to create hybrid heating and cooling systems. In a hybrid setup, the heat pump handles mild and moderate weather efficiently, and the furnace takes over during the coldest stretches of the Ontario winter.
Lennox heat pumps share the same build quality and quiet operation as their furnace and AC lines, and they integrate with the iComfort thermostat system for automatic switchover between heat pump and furnace modes.
If you are considering a heat pump for your home, we can help you decide whether a Lennox heat pump, a Mitsubishi ductless system, or a geothermal setup is the best fit. Our heat pumps page covers the full range of options, including who each type is best for and how they perform in an Ontario climate.
Several Lennox models across the furnace, AC, and heat pump lines are compatible with the Lennox iComfort smart thermostat. This is worth understanding because it changes how you interact with your heating and cooling system.
The iComfort system allows you to control your HVAC from your phone, set schedules, receive maintenance alerts and filter change reminders, and monitor energy usage. In a hybrid heat pump setup, it manages the switchover between heat pump and furnace automatically based on outdoor temperature, so the system always runs on whichever source is most efficient at that moment.
iComfort is compatible with the EL296V and SLP99V furnaces, the SL18XC1 air conditioner, and Lennox heat pumps. It is not available on the entry-level ML296 furnace or the 14ACX air conditioner.
If smart home integration and remote access matter to you, choosing a Better or Best tier product gives you iComfort compatibility.

Every Lennox product we install comes with a 10-year parts warranty, provided the product is registered with Lennox after installation. We handle the registration for you as part of our installation process.
Lennox furnaces also carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty on heat exchangers, which is the most critical and expensive component in the system. This means the heat exchanger is covered for as long as you own the home.
As an authorized dealer, we process warranty claims directly with Lennox. You do not need to chase down a manufacturer phone number or navigate a claims process on your own. If a covered part fails, you call us, and we handle it.
Warranty coverage is one of the most important reasons to buy from an authorized dealer rather than a third-party reseller or an unlicensed installer. Equipment installed by a non-authorized contractor may not be eligible for the full manufacturer warranty.
All Lennox products we install include 10-year parts warranty + Limited Lifetime Warranty on heat exchangers when registered.
Not every company that advertises Lennox products is an authorized dealer. The distinction matters because it directly affects what you get as a homeowner.
When you buy from Comfort Shop as an authorized Lennox dealer, you get technicians who are factory-trained on Lennox equipment and certified to install it to manufacturer specifications. You get access to the full Lennox product lineup, not just whatever a distributor had in stock. You get direct warranty processing without middlemen. And you get a local company with over 35 years of experience that will still be here when you need service five or ten years from now.
We also keep common Lennox parts in stock, which means faster repairs when something does need attention. Homeowners across Oshawa, Janetville, and the broader Durham Region depend on that responsiveness, especially during peak heating and cooling season when wait times at other companies stretch into days.
While Lennox is our premium HVAC line, we carry other trusted brands for products outside the Lennox range, including Navien and IBC for tankless water heaters and boiler systems and John Wood for tank-style water heaters.
Most homeowners choose a furnace or air conditioner based on a spec sheet and a quote. At Comfort Shop, we take the time to make sure you understand what you are buying before you commit.
Our team can walk you through the Good, Better, and Best options and help you match the right system to your budget and comfort goals.
